Unreleased II is the second compilation album by Hayden Anhedönia as Ethel Cain. It was released on May 21, 2020 via Bandcamp.[1]
Background[]
The album was released on Anhedönia's Bandcamp account on May 21, 2020. This album is composed of demos and unreleased songs that were written during 2017 to 2019. Unreleased II was going to replace Unreleased—the original unreleased compilation—on bandcamp.[2] However, this did not occur.
Of these album tracks, "Plague," "The Epitaph," "Hospital Beds II," and the demo of "Antebellum" were all originally released under the alias White Silas. Both "The Epitaph" and "Hospital Beds II," taken from Arcane Vessels, were reworked. Additionally, "Virginity (Piano Demo)" is an alternate version of a song released under the Atlas alias, which Anhedönia described as “a demo of a project lost in time.”[3]

The album cover originates from a photoshoot circa 2019. In 2025, an insider allegedly shared an outtake from the same shoot—alleged to be an alternate cover for Unreleased II—on LanaBoards and Pinterest, claiming it was obtained through a trade with another user.
