Unreleased is the first compilation album by Hayden Anhedönia as Ethel Cain. It was released on February 28, 2020 via Bandcamp.[1]
Background[]
The album was released on Anhedönia's Bandcamp account on February 28, 2020. This album is composed of demos and unreleased songs that were written during 2018 to 2019. The compilation was going to be removed from Bandcamp, in favor of Unreleased II.[2] However, this did not occur.
The album contains demos and throwaways from 2018 to 2019. The final versions of “Golden Age” and “Knuckle Velvet" were released on her second EP Golden Age, while “Powerline Valley” and “Verona” are outtakes from the Golden Age sessions. Other songs such as “Starvation” and “Room 209” were initially released under the White Silas alias. It is unknown when the other songs were recorded.
